Well....

so much for my commitment to more updates.

As much as I WANT to journal this time in our lives and write down every lit bit of information so that one day I can look back and be so thankful that I recorded precious memories, it's just not happening. That makes me sad.

But to be honest, we are just so busy living the memories!

We have a 12 year old who is very quickly turning into a teenager but still wants to cling to his last months of "little boyhood." He wants to spend as much time with his mom and dad and read books, play games, go for bike rides, hiking, etc. and I want to give him as much time as we can before that desire ends and he is running out the door to meet his friends at the mall or the movies or something. Just having me sit on the couch while he's playing video games is special to him and that makes me happy (and nauseous!).

We have a 9 year old who is doing great in school but only because she works hard and puts lots of time into studying and creating...which requires more attention and supervision from Management and me. She also is growing up (we went bra shopping!!! Not that she needs it, per se, but she had been begging and so we made the special trip) and needs a lot more alone, one-on-one, time with each of us as she is a very tricky person to relate too.

And then there is the busy, high-maintenance 2 year old. Not interested in toys or tv or anything that she can do by herself, she is often glued to our side, up in our face, and ready for a good conversation. We love and adore her so much but naptime is definitely a gift at this stage in life. I've never really been a fan of 3 yr old pre-school but H&G will be going in the Fall because she certainly needs it! She loves people and activities and did I mention, talking!?!

With these three children that the Lord so graciously blessed us with (and trust me, I thank Him for them every single day!), Management and I are juggling quite a few things. It's been an interesting year for us with his travels, his schooling, writing a 2nd book, helping put together a million dollar campaign in NYC, and our decision for me to go back to work (which really means I now work 3 jobs instead of just 2). Life is busy!

But it seems that most of the time it is a well-oiled machine with every part working together and in sync with what needs to be accomplished. Other times, it's not so pretty.

But in all of this chaos Management and I both believe that this year has been one of our healthiest years individually and in our marriage. Life is good!

But blogging...not so good. And I guess I'm okay with it...for now. But I know I need to record more things for H&G! Not only because she's the 3rd child (who has no baby book, no scrapbook, barely blogged about, no memory bin, etc.) but also because she's adopted! I know it will be very important, if not more so, for her to have the same memory books and bins that her siblings have so I am committed to working on that and making the time to get better organized!

Anyway, that's just a tidbit of where life is at right now. There is such sweetness and joy in the day to day!
