~LIFE~

~I know, I know, I say this all the time and you guys don't believe me BUT my house is a DISASTER! I still have loads of laundry from Saturday to fold and on and on it goes.

~I can't get to said house because today I am entertaining an 8 week old baby, a 1 year old, a 3 year old, and a 4 year old. We are having fun though and I have managed to space out naps so at least all of them are happy.

~Management comes home tonight! Yippee.

~HomeAudio's baseball games have started. Tuesday night I was f.r.o.z.e.n. and literally climbed in bed after the game and shivered myself to sleep. Tonight I think we will be sweating.

~We play a game while driving called "Yellow Car." Basically you watch for cars that are yellow and call out Yellow One. The person with the most sightings in the end wins. I have observed 2 things while playing this game: most Yellow cars are sports cars or jeeps/trucks and a city about 10 minutes from us is saturated with Yellow cars. Wow there are a lot in that city.

~I can't wait for the weekend!!

Several weeks ago I posted a BRIEF summary video of the Ohio State Price of Life Campaign. Management planned and prepared and prayed for this campaign for more than 2, closer to 3, years. I can't tell you how it has affected our lives. In many ways he and I are still processing it all. Even 3 days ago, out of nowhere, he said, "I just can't believe it's over." Well, that particular campaign is over. The fight continues! It took so much out of him, and indirectly out of us, but it was so worth it!

As you will see in the video:
14 events in 5 days
300+ people came to Christ
20,000+ educated about modern-day slavery
900 marched the historic Underground Railroad at the Parade of Tears

We are still praising God for all HE did and all HE accomplished through this campaign! Hope you can take a few minutes to watch it and pray that the work that HE has started will continue for many many many years to come.

May the education turn into action!

Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's Day. As I mentioned, we had 2 extra little friends with us. You may have guessed that it was TheShortOnes (as their mom calls them). WeeklyAd was so excited for them to come that she made a calendar a week before their visit so that she could have a countdown for their arrival. Each night she would squeal, "I just can't wait for them to come."

They arrived Saturday afternoon after spending the night and day with their older brother at home. Oh.my.word. You have to read his blog post about his time with them. It is hilarious!! As soon as I get permission, I will have to post it here! All you mothers out there will get a good laugh!

We went to a birthday party for my nephew Mark that evening, came home for baths and bed. The girls were great and chatted a bit too late but otherwise went to bed very well!

The only downside to the whole weekend was when Management gave me a kiss and one of TheShortOnes asked, "why did you kiss your mother?" WHAT!?!? Really!?!? HIS MOTHER??? We still laugh about that one.

Sunday morning was great. We had pancakes for breakfast and some playtime before heading off to church. Church was beautiful and of course, I cried!

After church, we headed to Target where one of TheShortOnes picked out this outfit.

But I couldn't buy it for her because her mama forbade me from purchasing anything for them. Boo! It was fun to see the outfits that they picked out and their tasts in style. We are going to have lots of fun shopping together in the future!

After Target we went to Mongolian BBQ for lunch. It was D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S as usual! I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get a picture of me and my mom! My whole family was there (all 23 of us) and I can't believe that I didn't get any other pictures!!

And then we finished the day with a movie and popcorn.

I hope we have many many more sleepovers and shopping trips with these two. They are so delightful and FUN!

Here is a not very clear picture of my son with multiple pigtails and a bright pink bow. He was not too thrilled about taking this picture as you can see~

BIG

~Today we went to my nephew Mark's 1st birthday party. He is getting so BIG! I definitely have to share a picture of him soon so you can see how much he has grown. He is such a delightful little guy!

~This weekend we have 2 little friends staying with us. I can't quite share who they are yet since it is all a BIG surprise. We are having a lot of fun though and will be sad when they have to leave!

~I've kind of lost interest in American Idol this season despite being a fan of Ellen. I think it is the fact that Tuesday's and Wednesday's are very busy nights and I don't seem to have time to catch up on my DVR shows. I do however know that I want the BIG winner to either be Crystal or Lee. I like them both.

~I'm excited for the BIG day tomorrow. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all my friends and especially to my own mother and mother-in-law. I am truly blessed!

JJ is Back

JJ is back today. You may remember me talking a little bit about JJ in the past. She is 3 years old and jibber jabbers a lot. She is adorable! And so funny! She has quite the personality and some really fun facial expressions.

Today she brought along her brand new baby sister.

Oh.My.Word.

She is the sweetest little baby girl all decked out in pink.

And she smells heavenly!

So the longing in my heart for a baby has simultaneously been stirred and a bit satisfied. Not sure what to do with this longing really. Our small group at church is working through the book Walking With God by John Eldredge. I hate to admit that the book is changing my life. I simultaneously (I guess that's my word of the day) love it and am annoyed by it. But the one thing the book does well is to focus you back on the Lord, seeking HIM and HIS ways.

He is so good! His ways are best!

And what a blessing that I can snuggle this precious baby while I'm praying!

Plan, What Plan?

pray, pray, pray
decisions, decisions, decisions
wait, wait, wait
hurry, hurry, hurry
money, money, money

Lots of uncertainty over here.
Seems like we are surrounded by it really.

Seeking the only One who is always CERTAIN.
